Designing your own piece of jewellery is an exciting and unique experience that allows you to create something truly one-of-a-kind. At DiamondsByMe, we offer a custom design service that enables you to turn your dreams into a beautiful piece of jewellery. Our expert designers will work closely with you to bring your ideas to life and create a design that perfectly fits your style and taste.
Step 1: Consult our expert
The first step in designing your own piece of jewellery is to consult with our expert designers at DiamondsByMe. We'll work closely with you to better understand your vision for the perfect piece of jewellery. To get started, you can send us a sketch or a few images of the jewel that are similar to what you have in mind. Our experts will use this information to create the right design that meets your unique needs and preferences.
During the consultation, our team of designers will ask you a few questions to get a better idea of your vision.
For example, we'll ask about the materials you'd like to use for your ring, whether you want to include your own stone, the type of gemstones you're interested in, the size of the ring band, and whether you'd like the ring to be engraved.
Once we have all the information we need, we'll provide you with a price estimate before our master goldsmiths begin creating your ring.
Step 2: Visualize your design in 3D
Once you've approved the price estimate, our specialized designers will start creating a 3D design of your jewel. This 3D rendering (image) will show you the smallest details of your design in the desired materials. The definitive design fee will depend on the time our designers will work on your design. You'll receive the 3D drawing by email in about 8 working days.
This 3D rendering is an important step in the process because it gives you a perfect image of what your jewel will look like in the end. You can take your time to review the design and provide us with any necessary changes. If you're happy with your design, you can give us the go-ahead to create a 3D print, a detailed gray coloured plastic dummy of your ring that's the correct size. With this 3D print, you can take a closer look at your design and even try it on before placing your final order. This way you can be sure the ring has the right proportions that you were expecting.
Step 3: Let our master goldsmiths create your jewel
With your final approval, our master goldsmiths will begin the process of creating your jewel. They'll work tirelessly to bring your unique design to life with the utmost precision and care. We'll keep you informed throughout the process, and if there are any delays, we'll consult with you first.
The creation process may take longer than the usual 12 business days if we need to order a special gemstone or if you'd like to have your jewel laser engraved. However, we always strive to create your jewel in a timely manner, and we'll keep you informed every step of the way.
Step 4: Receive your personalised jewellery piece
The final step is to receive your personalized custom piece of jewellery. Our team will pack your jewel with care, by hand, in a beautiful luxury box. In addition to your jewel, you'll also receive a handwritten certificate with important details, such as the metals used, the type, number, and quality of the stones, and a GIA quality certificate for diamonds that are 0.3 carat or more.
If you'd like to track your jewel during shipment, we'll provide you with a tracking code as soon as your purchase ships. Once you receive your personalized designed piece of jewellery, we encourage you to share it with others. We take pride in crafting each jewellery piece by hand, and we look forward to hearing how much you love your unique piece of jewellery.
